Ramsbury Gin & Vodka Now 100% Plastic-Free

Ramsbury Distillery is proud to announce that its award-winning core range of Ramsbury Gin and Ramsbury Vodka is now 100% plastic-free.

As part of the distillery’s ongoing sustainability programme, the plastic tamper seal previously used on both products has been replaced with a paper alternative. This small but significant change eliminates plastic from the standard packaging entirely and represents another step forward in Ramsbury’s commitment to responsible British distilling.

The move reflects the distillery’s continual challenge to improve its environmental practices. While the former tamper seals were fully recyclable, Ramsbury felt it was essential to go further and remove plastic altogether, aligning the spirits range with the distillery’s wider packaging standards, all of which are FSU-approved.

Nik Fordham, General Manager at Ramsbury Brewery & Distillery, commented:

“This is something we’ve been working towards for some time. It’s a simple change in material, but one that makes a meaningful difference for the environment. As a sustainable British producer, we felt it was important to take this step. It now aligns perfectly with the rest of our packaging and our long-term sustainability goals.”

Ramsbury Distillery is renowned for its closed-loop production system, with every stage of distilling powered by estate-grown wheat and renewable energy, reinforcing its position as one of the UK’s most environmentally conscious spirits producers.
